Easy to see why this place is so highly rated. Me and my fiancée tried out The Herd this evening. The calm, atmospheric, white walled restaurant is very popular and it was busy throughout our visit even going into the later hours of the evening. The service was swift and polite, the wait times for drinks and food was very reasonable and the noise levels were more than acceptable making it very easy to maintain conversations amongst all the tables. What really makes this place stand out is of course the food. The vegetables were seasoned beautifully, the steaks were cooked perfectly, they were full of flavour that was only complimented by the blue cheese sauce and garlic butter.

Zou het liefst 3,5 ster geven omdat het nog steeds lekker was en de bediening heel vriendelijk was, maar toch had ik hogere verwachtingen (zeker gelet op de prijs)… Het vlees was heel vettig waardoor we wel wat stukken moesten laten liggen. Ook moet je voor alle side dishes extra betalen waardoor je toch al snel aan een stevige prijs zit mocht je graag allebei aardappels/frietjes én groentjes willen. Mocht je kiezen voor een saus raden we de rode wijnsaus aan (was heel lekker), de bearnaisesaus was wat minder lekker.
