sympathieke uitbaatster, passievolle kok, die regelmatig ook aan tafel te bezichtigen is, super Spaanse sfeer, de calamares van de chefs is een topper, we komen zeker terug :)

My second visit to Gusto left me with mixed feelings. The first time I came here, I was truly impressed. The menu, inspired by the elements of nature, had soul. Every dish told a story, and the wine pairing brought everything together in a beautiful way. It felt like a complete experience – thoughtful, creative, and deeply memorable. I left inspired and didn’t hesitate to recommend Gusto to others with full confidence. Yesterday, I returned with someone special, bringing those same high expectations. The new menu, themed around a journey through Spain, was good – the food was well prepared, and the flavors were there – but for me, it lacked that same spark. The soul, the intention I felt so strongly the first time, just wasn’t as present. The quality of the service, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail are still excellent – no doubt about that. But I couldn’t help feeling a little disappointed, as if something meaningful had been lost. I write this with respect and admiration, and with the hope that Gusto can bring back the same magic that once moved me. I know what you’re capable of, and that’s exactly why I want to return again.
