Waste2taste is the most heartwarming experience. We get noticed , shown love, meet likeminded friends , lots of laughter and conversations . Older people don’t have many places to go where they are accepted and shown care and kindness. The food is outstanding to say the least . Waste2taste doesn’t waste anything and we have learnt from various courses to utilise out of date food . We have learnt to pickle vegetables which has enabled me to do this at home . Older people are to the larger extent “ invisible “ they are ignored and not given the time of day . Waste2taste has provided Bingo, a hairdresser, community meals , craft club and a knitting/ crochet club every Wednesday. Time is given for problems and matters are resolved . This too is unique . Long May it continue . Without it we would be totally lost . Please remember each of us will grow aged. Think about us before it’s your turn .

I love coming to this Cafe, Waste2Taste, because it gives me reason to leave my bed in the middle of the week, to come and meet like-minded friends, where we engage in doing handicrafts, while waiting for the warm delicious food to eat, and even take some home, for a later time! The atmosphere is very friendly, and kind for all. A nice place for chatting and laughing with one another, which helps me to feel emotionally better. A good place for finding encouraging words and support from others, tasting new foods, and learning new skills from others is all worth coming to this place.
