The friends of mine recommended this restaurant (Rice Box in Oxford) to me, my wife and my other friends. So a group of us (over 20 people) visited this place yesterday (18/5). The restaurant was not a big one but the menu was huge. We chose a lot of traditional Chinese dishes from the menu: golden prawns with shells salted with egg yolk, steamed scallops with garlic vermicelli, braised goose feet with chinese mushrooms and broccoli, stir fried kai-lan with garlic, steamed sea bass, stir fried crab with ginger scallions in chilli sauce, braised pork belly with green chinese cabbage, stir fried salt and pepper chicken cartilage, etc. I was surprised that most of the dishes were very authentic. We were pleased with the outstanding food quality and the friendly staff who served us nicely over the entire afternoon session. It has been a wonderful experience to our taste buds, especially for most of us who came from London. I am sure it is equally appreciated by the local residents.
