I want to thank all the staff at the Bat and Ball for making my husband’s birthday surprise stay so memorable. We had a two night stay, night one just us two but surprise, surprise for him on night 2 our family arrived (including Molly dog). From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and not a word was spilt about what was happening the following evening with our family arriving. It worked like clockwork. The rooms were lovely, beds super comfortable, food good, the manager, bar staff, waitress's in fact everyone very attentive and super friendly. I would like to thank Melanie for the excellent communication during the booking process and passing on to the staff to keep night 2's big surprise a secret. You may gather, we all loved our stay. Don't hesitate, go visit the Bat and Ball

Went here for meal only and booked in advance - which I’d recommend as they were busy the night we went. Service was very friendly and food was excellent - including the imaginative vegan option. We had a couple of the bar snacks rather than starters, followed by marinas and dessert. In all cases there was good attention to flavour and presentation.
