A friend recommended this amazing slightly-hidden gem, and we had such an amazing time there. Everything we ate was fantastic and just unusual enough to feel adventurous without being a challenge to enjoy. The plates are small, like tapas (but don't use that word in front of the chef), so you can get a handful of things to taste and share. The surprise winner for us was the plate of grilled sausages from charcutier, Eric Ospital - so simple and simply sumptuous, but we were truly delighted by everything we ordered (like that day's special - spinach risotto with shrimp carpaccio). Our server (a delightful local who goes by many names, but I think he prefers "Pallet-Truck" lol) was charming and disarming, and he gave us all the information and suggestions we could have wanted. His claim to fame is to read your soul, lowering his glasses and looking deeply into your eyes (despite that he can barely see without the prescription lenses), in order to choose a wine (or several) to perfectly match your temperament. We tried just enough of them to forget exactly what any of them were, and we loved every one. My partner has a gluten allergy, and not only are there tons of naturally gluten-free options, but they were careful to check on anything remotely questionable and were happy to make any needed accommodations to ensure our joy and safety. We walked away feeling stuffed, but still light on our feet, if slightly tipsy. I would absolutely eat there again. And again. And again.
