About

Casina Vanvitelliana, a stunning example of late Baroque architecture, graces the picturesque Lake Fusaro in Bacoli, near Naples. Designed by the renowned father-son duo, Carlo and Luigi Vanvitelli, its unique twelve-sided plan and two terraced levels offer an intriguing glimpse into Italy's architectural elegance. Built by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, this historical gem has welcomed legendary figures like Mozart, Rossini, and the Tsar of Russia, adding to its rich narrative.

Visitors can meander across the elegant wooden pier for a mere 3 euros to explore the interiors, including the exquisite Circular Room, the opulent Noble Floor, and the fascinating Sala delle Meraviglie, or Hall of Wonders. With its combination of cultural significance and delightful structure, and being easily accessible from the nearby train station, Casina Vanvitelliana offers a journey into history that's well-suited for all ages, making it a must-visit when exploring the Campania region.
