Aquí está el nicho de san Judas Tadeo, patrón de las causas perdidas, profusamente iluminado, al que tantos murcianos, en altas horas de la noche, rezaban una plegaria junto a la portería del convento de Capuchinas. , un espacio de devoción para quienes buscan su intercesión. El convento tiene sus raíces en el siglo XVII y está vinculado a la Beata María Ángela Astorch, quien fundó el monasterio en Murcia tras haber establecido otro en Zaragoza. Procedente de tierras catalanas llegó a la ciudad de Murcia, junto con otras cuatro religiosas, el 29 de junio de 1645. Al monasterio se le dio por titular la Exaltación del Santísimo Sacramento. Este monasterio se encuentra actualmente junto al paseo del Malecón, siendo heredero del histórico convento ubicado anteriormente 'intramuros' del centro histórico de Murcia. El convento contiene obras de gran valor firmadas por artistas destacados como Francisco Salzillo, Nicolás de Bussy y Juan González Moreno, así como las reliquias incorruptas de la Beata, que han permanecido en perfecto estado durante más de tres siglos y medio (1665), con el cuerpo completo perfectamente conservado y expuesto permanentemente al culto en un templo abierto.
