No wrong choice as to what to get here. The Escandalo mushroom and pork mix is super flavorful. 10/10 would go again

Having lived in this city for 3+ years, surrounded by amazing Mexican food, it's been a while since a spot genuinely made me go "wow". Escándalo did just that. The torta here is pure poetry. Fantastic cochinita, but what really makes it is the bread - slightly crispy, super buttery brioche that is by far the best bread I've tried in any torta in Mexico. As others have pointed out, it's smaller than a "regular" torta, but the buttery bread compensates for that - it was actually pretty filling. Also, they have some of the best salsas around - both the red and the green. Incredible little spot, should not be missed.
