We’ve been coming to Topkapi as long as it has been on Deansgate, and even before that when it was just a cafe on Peter Street! We’ve seen the many transformations and updates to the layout in that time and while the food, service, staff and atmosphere remain excellent, the introduction of the split kitchen and takeaway on Deansgate doesn’t impress. A family birthday party this weekend wasn’t spoiled but the atmosphere distinctly changed when the restaurant winds down and takeaway ramps up. I wish them well for the future but any future booking will be earlier and away from the front entrance.
