I’ve had a passion for Pound Bakery mince pies for several years but those I bought today have changed my mind. The pastry was tasteless and brittle instead of the usual tasty shortcrust. Whatever they’ve done to them is not a success, they’re awful. They used to be the best.

Going to pound bakery changed my life. The money I saved on the great bargins went into buying pants with a bigger waist. I do enjoy the cheese on toast and a chat. Very good place highly recommended if you're hungry.
