Those wooden spoons... It's slightly pricey but the scoop sizes are on the generous side and the ice-creams are pretty high quality. They have a catalogue of out-of-the-ordinary and interesting flavors. Some of them are mild in taste, which would be fine... if it wasn't for the wooden spoons. They're just not it. They taste like, well, wood, and their texture when you have to lick them is a bit icky. I know this sounds like nitpicking, and maybe it is, but it was just a bit unpleasant and took away much of the niceness of the milder ice cream flavors. It's like your sensory attention focuses on the flavor and texture of the spoon itself rather than on the ice cream lol. I get it that it's more environment friendly than plastics, but I've been to many ice cream shops that used regular (soft and flavorless) plastic-like spoons made of recyclable or even compostable materials, so I don't think it's an excuse. Next time I'll just order a cone because the ice creams themselves are good.

The venue use to have a shop in the northern quarter and is now based within the Arndale. The flavours of the ice cream are the main draw. They look amazing, very colour and unusual selection. Definitely don’t let the lesser known flavours put you off trying them. The staff are knowledgeable and more than happy to guide you through picking the right one. If you’re not sure, they might even let you try one! We went for the Korean Banana and sesame seed
