Of course, tasting the food was a must-do for me. We stumbled upon a little Taiwanese shop by the roadside. We arrived about ten minutes before opening, but they kindly let us sit down early. Ordered the classic Taiwanese braised pork rice — the rice was shaped like Taiwan, and the portion was generous. The fried tofu with mushrooms, fried chicken bites, and braised platter were all pretty good. My Taiwanese beef noodle soup came in a big portion, though I didn’t particularly enjoy the broth itself. The drinks — Taiwanese milk tea and winter melon tea — were nice. No service charge. Overall, a fairly standard place.
