I come in fairly regularly to the duke in the daytime but came in with a friend last night and the staff and land lady were absolutely lovely and welcoming. I took over the free juke box and had a really pleasant evening. Will definitely do a random weekday night again :)

What a hidden gem! Called into this pub earlier today and was immediately welcomed by the friendly bar staff! This wonderful pub is just what you want, from its traditional decor, to the cleanliness of the facilities. And to top it all off, one of the best pints of Holt's Crystal I've had in a long time! Clearly pride is taken to keep standards so high. I'll definitely be returning and can't wait. Also, stunningly quaint outside area. 5*. Thank you!
