St Mary's RC Church, conocida como The Hidden Gem. Origen: 1794, como una de las primeras iglesias católicas tras la Reforma. Reedificación: 1844–1848 en estilo mixto (normando, gótico, bizantino). Interior inesperado: altar de mármol tallado, estatuas religiosas y estaciones expresionistas. Apodo: “La joya escondida” — su belleza está ahí aunque el centro urbano ha crecido alrededor. Estado actual: en uso, protegida, todavía abierta como refugio espiritual e histórico.

Very old and beautiful church. I thought images on stations of the cross are meant to help with prayer but…I was not even sure if the images here were of the stations…very abstract and meaningless to me anyway. Great selection of religious objects etc for sale.
