We chose Zapote Mexican restaurant in Shoreditch as I'd eaten there when I was last in London with my sister. We had really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. So we decided to book up again. this time for a family get together. We hoped as it was a special occasion that we wouldn't be disappointed. We werent . From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was lively. The staff were attentive and very knowledgeable regarding the food they were serving us. The chargriled short rib of beef was served to perfection as was the duck quesadillas and my favourite the octopus "perfect". For desert Taco filled with goodness iwas to die for. As for the cocktails!!! very good We also enjoyed the very delicious wine recommended to us. We had a really good family evening full of love and laughter just like the food and atmosphere at Zapote No one member of staff stood out, from the. Chefs, waiters and those behind the scenes worked both tirelessly and professionally together for the customer. No wonder the restaurant is receiving so many accolades. It's the place to go.

For those who appreciate quality over quantity, and refined taste over mass-appeal flavor profile, Zapote is a must-try. We were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ingredients, the wonderful combination of flavors and how much care was given to each dish. Every mouthful was a celebration! Service was just as impeccable as the food. The staff was engaging without being too overwhelming, proactive without being pushy and attentive to details. My favorites were the red prawn ceviche, the octopus and ex-tongue taco. Can’t wait to return and try all the other dishes.
