Tempeh is like tofu, but with a (very good) flavour. They cook it perfectly, both in cumin and coconut curry. The man itself is very friendly and welcoming, probably the nicest guy in the food market. Prices are very fair.

I've been meaning to check out this place ever since someone back in Jakarta told me circa 2015 that there's a bule selling tempeh in London. It's taken me 10 years but it was worth the wait! The tempe lodeh was incredible, superb value, and all vegan!

Wonderful stall. The owner was so friendly and had a nice chat about his experience in Indonesia and how he learned to make tempeh. As an Indonesian, I was very hyped and excited to have tempeh. So close to city as well. Got the mixed rice (tempeh lodeh and masak merah?) For about £7.8 and raw tempeh for £3 in 2025. Only in Tuesdays in leather lane. Was lucky to catch them at that day haha. Gonna be returning.
