Shah is the ultimate guide to the gastronomic delights of the subcontinent, imparting wisdom and delicate morsels of pure orgasmic taste explosions directly from the kitchens of the food spirits with gold and diamond utensils (or at least very shiny steel cutlery) directly into my mouth. My MOUTH!! Shah, the Lord of Lamb, the festooner of Fish, the Champion of glorious chicken, led us on a merry chase of Indian cuisine nirvana. And he achieved it. I have now transcended to a higher state. Or maybe it’s gas. Regardless! The food was amazing. All hail Shah!

This place would be nothing without Nahid. Well, not nothing. The food was incredible. Succulent, packed with flavour, aromatic, perfectly spiced. An incredible selection. But Nahid? What can I say. A living legend. The closest I've come to meeting a walking deity since I ran into Alan Rickman that one time in Covent Garden. With a smile which puts the sun to shame, Nahid graced us with such poise and grace that our dining experience was elevated to the pantheon of the incredible. Go just for Nahid, and if Nahid is not there - ascended to a higher plane of existence perhaps, pursuing even higher gastronomic enlightenment - go anyway to honor him. Amazing. All worship Nahid.
