the staff member said the bakery was "baked fresh here" meaning baked instore, and i was surprised as they looked a lot like they were from galeta. i asked if they were from galeta as i really like their cakes, so i don't know what the reason for lying was. it's not uncommon that cafes outsource their baked goods, especially if they are not a bakery. a little disappointing that the staff member outright lied to my face,, nothing shameful about sourcing cakes from a well known, well liked bakery
