It’s in a food court. Being vegetarian understandably at a steak restaurant I wasn’t expecting much. But my carnivore date wasn’t too happy with his meal! Pretty space, great customer service just not happy with the food.

Really mixed experience here. The Casbah dish was one of the best things I've eaten this year. The lamb corn dog was fine, the short rib steak was unexpectedly tough and chewy. Loved the cauliflower side too. Some friends ordered a rare steak - and it came well done. They tried to offer a cheap bottle of wine as compensation...lol. One grade out is fine - but well done when you ordered rare? Hmmm. Likewise the experience, it isn't an actual restaurant - it is just part of Hawley Wharf, which also means you are sharing toilets with half of Camden, and they are pretty grim with long queues at times. Also the dishes came at random times - the steak came 30 minutes after I'd finished all my food. The beer choice was just Camden beers...yawn...but actually it was the nicest Camden Pale Ale I've had in years. Clearly they look after their lines. Service was friendly but always needed getting their attention rather than spotting empty glasses and coming over. I'd definitely recommend going for the Casbah alone...it is stunning, but maybe just treat it as casual dining/street food thing, instead of a restaurant. Confusing place!
