am familiar with Aubrey in Hong Kong — great service, excellent drinks, and a fantastic ambiance with stunning views of the city. In my absence, I booked Aubrey at the Mandarin Oriental in London for my husband’s birthday with my son. They arrived a little late, and the receptionist reminded them that the table was only available for 1 ½ hours because they were busy. Not only did she fail to wish my husband a happy birthday (even though I had mentioned it was a special occasion when booking), but the dining area was not as busy as she described, and in the end, they were not asked to leave once their time was up because the table wasn’t needed. Although the food was excellent, the service needs improvement, especially when compared with Aubrey at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. The receptionist, in particular, should have been more welcoming instead of showing an attitude towards the customers..

Japanese Izakaya experience with good music and great vibe. Amazing cocktails. Do try the bone marrow fried rice and miso cod.
