I have been going to this Place since 1995, so I was delighted when my wife organised a surprise birthday dinner. I started boasting to my friends about how good the food would be. What a disappointment! the menu didn't seem to have as much variety as before. Most of the guests ordered the chicken dish which was OK but judging by the size of portions I felt that it wasn't good value for money, another guest ordered the pork dish with chard, the dishes turned up with out the chard leafs, just the stems, I didn't realise that this was a new thing. On a positive note the guests who ordered the fish had no complaints, and the vegetarian option was just ok. On another positive note the atmosphere was excellent along with fantastic service, I hope the food issues are just a temporary blip.

One of the nicest pubs I have ever been to. Kitchen has recently come under new management and the food was next level.
