***Updated Review July 2025, original review will be kept for posterity*** My GOD what an improvement! Came back here yesterday for lunch (despite my misgivings) and we had a really rather good experience. For starters we ordered 2 of the Crescentine's, and we ordered a pomodoro and a carbonara for mains. We were given the option of pacing the meal as seperate dishes or we could have the items all brought together (we went for the latter option). The lady who took our order was quite knowledgeable to the questions we asked (primarily for the starters) and was very courteous and polite. Food was served up quite promptly (albeit, the restaurant was fairly quiet for ~1:30pm, so this may have played a part). Food was delicious across the board. Starters were a rather lovely portion, the sauce that came with them was delightfully more-ish and hit a rustic "made at home with love" kind of note that I felt was sorely lacking from the food on previous visits. The mains, were well portioned, not swimming in sauce (my carbonara was excellent, the pomodoro was too), the dishes were very well balanced and only needed a touch of extra seasoning to suit our tastes. This was a MUCH better visit. The wait staff are much more attentive than before (a waiter with dark curly hair, again I did not catch his name) came to check on our dining experience; this was something we both felt was a sign of marked improvement with regards to the service. Bill came to just shy of £50, with a mandated 13.5% cover charge to the staff. On the last visit I found this to be such an affront to public decency that we had a back and forth to try and get this taken off the bill (and were met with a firm "it's non-optional I'm afraid"). This time around, I didn't feel like I was being left as a premium sucker. The service was a little spotty, but compared to before, it was a night and day difference. I've bumped this from 2* to 4*, because even though the experience was substantially better, there were areas that could've been perhaps a little sharper. For example, staff seemed to overlook us when we were sat for ~10 minutes trying to get the cheque (despite moving tables around right beside us to accomodate a 6-top), and I found that the chair at the table (one side was a booth-style seat) was quite hilariously uncomfortable; it genuinely felt awful sitting in for the meal, but I guess it's a design choice. I would tentatively recommend this to friends and family, with the caveat that I would caution them to not have top-tier expectations, but even with that, considering I had sworn away from this restaurant, to now be able to recommend this to ANYONE is a sign of just how far it has rebounded. Long may it continue! Had lunch with my partner yesterday. Got seated quite quickly which was nice, but when a server came to take orders (two tables, one behind us, one right beside us), he completely ignored us despite us saying we were ready to order. Came back 5 minutes later, took ...

Our server DeMario was absolutely fantastic — truly attentive and went above and beyond to meet our every need. It felt like nothing was too much to ask. From the moment we sat down, we were taken care of with such care and professionalism. Every request was met with a smile, and they made sure our experience was flawless. Exceptional service! And the food was tasty -Delicious and refreshing sicilian lemonade -Burratina: too many onions(not written on the menu) no basil but didn’t understand why there was parsley instead... -Pasta carbonara and bolognese

I had a lovely time at this Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was absolutely top-notch. Demario, our waiter, was truly amazing, attentive, kind, and always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was good overall, and the homemade lemonade was especially delicious. One small downside: there were red onions in the burrata, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. Still, it didn’t take away too much from the experience.
