My partner and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at the Shakedown bar. Fresh sandwiches, gorgeous cakes (my favourite was the Opera Gateaux, my partner's the Green Tea Tart) and fresh scones with delightfully thick clotted cream. Impressively presented. Maybe a touch more jam would have been appreciated - but that's probably my overly sweet tooth! Lovely glass of bubbles, and an extensive menu of loose leaf teas you could inspect and have a smell of before choosing. Our server Olu was fantastic - a really nice guy who was helpful, attentive and went out of his way to ensure we were happy and looked after. All the booking details we'd provided were well attended to. The experience voucher was already processed, and my dietary requirement was met with care and thought.
