My wife Lynsey and I went for afternoon tea on 18th June. Totally different from the previous September. Staff all were excellent. Sandwich and scones delicious. As were the cakes. The stars of the show the custard cream and mini ice cream. Again a totally different and wonderful experience. Would return in the future.

Just an exceptional experience. The silver service was highly professional but not uptight, with waiters who are approachable, warm and personable. The patisseries were delicious, and I am SO impressed with the gluten free options. The tea was interspersed with lovely little surprises along the way, like the mini ice creams, the Battenberg cake at the end (I can’t speak for the normal one but the gluten free version is one of the best cakes I have ever had), the birthday sorbet cake and the mini booklet on the history of the afternoon tea and The Langham. The sandwich fillings were traditional and yummy (although the bread was slightly stale, but the refill sandwiches were freshly made and delightful). The live piano was a lovely touch to make the experience that bit more memorable. All in all, I wish I could give this place 100 stars, it exceeded all expectations, in particular their gluten free offering and the service. Worth every penny. Thank you so much.
