Me and my friends chose this place after doing a lot of research online, and with a 4.5-star rating we thought it would be a safe bet. Since we weren’t that hungry, we planned to order just two bowls of noodles to share between the five of us. When we ordered, we were suddenly told there’s a £15 minimum spend per person. No one mentioned this beforehand, and we couldn’t see any sign about it, which was disappointing. We ended up getting the deluxe seafood fried rice for £19.80, which came in a small portion, was very oily, and honestly not as good as other fried rice we’ve had in Chinatown. The niu-rou mian was decent but nothing to rave about, while the pao jiao ji-zard was extremely spicy and not worth the £15.80 price tag - we didn’t even finish it. The only standout was the braised beef ribs with blanket, which were tender and flavourful, but sadly that alone wasn’t enough to redeem the experience. Overall, we left feeling unsatisfied. I don’t think we’d come back, except maybe just for those beef ribs. Worth the money? Not really.
