We ordered from Just Eat where it has a solid 4.2 rating, then after ordering saw the reviews on here. So we waited with baited breath for our food but we actually enjoyed it all! We’re vegetarian/vegan, so had sweet & sour tofu Hong Kong style, vegetarian duck pancakes, mushroom salt & chilli, plain chow mein and curry sauce. We’d order from here again 👍

A real mixed bag, this takeaway is all over the place. The extremely low rating (2.7 as of March 2025) was fair warning and I felt 3/5 was a fair reflection of my experience. • House Special Fried Rice (in sauce) was reasonable, if a bit bland. Edible but forgettable. • Prawn Crackers - the first bag I had was utterly inedible and tasted like you were drinking (quite old) cooking oil. The second bag was much better, but possibly only as my expectations were now so low. No wonder they are buy one get one free. Ultimately New Moon is a cheap option, but as always… you get what you pay for. If you found my review or photos helpful please leave a quick like 🩶 Thank you 🥡

This is easily one of the best Chinese restaurants around… I have ordered from them for at least 7 years and to see some of the negative reviews is quite surprising. This chinese is the benchmark by which I rate all other chinese restaurants I try to replace it with and very often I find myself having to make the drive back here because all the others I try don’t come close. For reference I order chow mein, salt and chilli chicken, salt and chilli wings, egg fried rice, Singapore fried rice (no pork, no prawns), black bean and curry sauce… anything outside of that I can’t speak on, but all of the above are amazing/delicious! It’s so hard to replace it, I wish it was closer to where I am now.
