I really don’t like to leave negative stuff, but I’m hoping some constructive criticism may boot this into gear again (and I’ll happily come back and upgrade the review if changes are demonstrable). Called in at the London Bridge one today with friends. I’ve actually had this pinned as a place to visit for a while, so when I realised we were in the same place it was located this afternoon, I was excited to try. I ordered the Dalston Dip. My first comment to a friend upon tasting it was “you know those basic cheeseburgers you get at McDonald’s? Well: Very sadly, it tastes almost the same as that if you close your eyes, only with a brioche bun”. The gravy dipping sauce was almost tasteless. I really don’t have a clue if this is normal as only been this once, but I was really quite disappointed. I can’t see this surviving in a competitive burger marketplace without some upgrades. I hope relevant people take note and act to save the business and the livelihoods of those who are employed by it 😬 (Three stars simply to show some respect to the staff, who are trying hard under these circumstances, and a menu that promises more than delivers, as it demonstrates a desire to be better than it was)
