Today I was at Clapham Junction and had bought a Krispy Kreme doughnut. While walking to the train station, some of the sauce spilled onto my hand and face. I didn’t have any tissues, so I went to the nearest restaurant, McDonald’s, to ask politely for one. The staff member responded by saying, “Krispy Kreme can’t give you tissue, who are we to give you free stuff?”.I only asked for a simple tissue to clean myself up, and her response felt unnecessarily rude and unkind.
