Finally made it to Mangal 1 in Dalston, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. This no-fuss, iconic Turkish spot is all about perfectly grilled meats, fresh ingredients, and warm, pillowy pide bread. The lamb shish and sweetbreads were unreal, some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The vibe is proper old-school, buzzing, and BYOB, which only adds to the charm. If you’re in East London and love real charcoal-grilled flavour, Mangal 1 is a must.
