Three years ago, I wandered into Mama’s Nepalese Kitchen in Northfields by accident, and let’s just say my taste buds sent me a thank-you note. This place is a tiny treasure, like finding a parking spot in London on the first try. Small? Yes. Packed with flavor and love? Oh, absolutely. The staff here are basically my BFFs now. They know my order before I open my mouth and greet me like I’m the prodigal child returning home. It’s the kind of welcome that makes you feel fuzzier than a llama sweater. The restaurant’s cozy—think “your mate’s living room but with better spices”—and it’s got all the charm you need. The food? Good grief, it’s magic. The dal is my one true love, so smooth and perfectly spiced I’d write it poetry if I could. Then there’s the “bloody chicken,” which sounds like it’s ready to star in an action movie but tastes like heaven on a plate—spicy, juicy, and downright addictive. It’s not the Ritz, but who cares when the food slaps this hard? Mama’s is a Northfields must. Five stars, a goofy grin, and a promise to keep coming back for more dal dreams.
