We tried three Gordon Ramsay–branded spots in London and came away with mixed feelings. First up, the burger place under the Ramsay umbrella absolutely nailed value for money. For a casual bite, it was spot-on: juicy patties, crisp fries, friendly service—and at a price that felt fair. Solid 5/5 on the price-to-quality scale. Next was Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in the Blackfriars/Bankside area. Sadly, this was our biggest disappointment. Most dishes tasted as if they’d been reheated rather than cooked fresh. Our starter (chicken wings) and main (ribs) were both dry and underwhelming. The only plate that truly delivered was the Beef Wellington, which actually felt worth ordering. As an overall experience, the value just wasn’t there. We finished at Lucky Cat—and this one was an experience. We visited the location on the 60th floor of 22 Bishopsgate, with breathtaking city views that steal the show. The food was excellent, but it was the panorama and atmosphere that made the night memorable; the cooking almost became a refined detail on top of the setting. If you’re choosing one “special” venue, this would be our pick. The next day we had Sky Garden booked. After Lucky Cat’s sweeping views, Sky Garden felt redundant for us; we’d probably have skipped it in hindsight. If you’re planning a similar itinerary, consider doing Sky Garden first, or just choosing one view-led outing.

Great atmosphere and superb views. The food was tasty although some portions were ridiculously small for the price (scallops) . The service however was atrocious, horrifically slow. We even tried to order a dessert and were told because of their own delay we wouldn’t be able to order (we had waited around 45 minutes for someone to come over to us). We even had to ask for the table to be cleaned, there were prawn tails and crackers all under the table. I definitely expected more and wouldn’t return after the experience we had unfortunately

Outstanding business lunch and impeccable service at Lucky Cat City I recently had the pleasure of hosting a business lunch at Lucky Cat City with valued contacts visiting from Dubai, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed and seated at an excellent table — private enough for conversation yet still allowing us to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was, as always, superb. Each dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and a true showcase of the consistency and high standards that Lucky Cat City has become known for. My guests were thoroughly impressed, which made the lunch both enjoyable and memorable. What sets Lucky Cat City apart is the service. In particular, I would like to recognise Guest Relations Manager Rafael Santos, who has provided consistently outstanding hospitality since I first met him when the restaurant opened last year. His professionalism, attention to detail, and warm manner ensure every visit feels special. On this occasion, Rafael went above and beyond by discreetly arranging a quiet space for me to take an urgent business call during our lunch — a thoughtful gesture that made a significant difference and allowed the meeting to continue seamlessly. This combination of excellent food, a welcoming environment, and world-class service makes Lucky Cat City one of London’s finest dining destinations, whether for business or leisure. I look forward to returning soon.
