If I were to rate their cakes alone this place is great! But the service is rubbish! Every time I order a cake there is never any number to contact them if I am running late or to make an amendment. Delivery price is MAD! And when you turn up to pick up your cake staff are rather rude

I love cake and stopped by Lili Vanilli based on the strong reviews. There were a few options available (most with a cherry theme), I went with the chocolate cherry cake. The cake itself had a nice chocolate flavour, and the buttercream was smooth and generously applied. It tasted like a North American-style cake - the sponge had a tender and moist crumb, fluffier. That said, I was hoping for more cherry presence. Aside from two cherry halves in the filling, there wasn’t much cherry flavour overall and ended up tasting mostly like a chocolate cake. It was served at room temperature, but I think this style of cake might benefit from being slightly chilled. At room temp, the fats in the cake and icing were more noticeable in taste and texture. Located off of Columbia Rd, in a mini alley / courtyard. There is outdoor seating. Lovely on a quiet Saturday afternoon.
