Walking canes seem to be de rigueur at Le Colombier. It is also fortunate, for the patrons, as it is conveniently located directly across from the Marsden A&E! The fare, service and menu is obviously very French. Enticed when you enter and then efficient to get you out. The menu is well-priced and uncomplicated. Our table location mimicked the bus stop on Fulham rd but then we did book late. I discovered, like the farce of Champagne or the Grand Cru hierarchies, Le Colombier has a table location hierarchy - a two and a four seat table but only for those who know! Bless the French who still have the world believing that the “controlled” 33 thousand hectares of Champagne comfortably keeps the world supplied!
