Over ten years ago, I really loved the Four Seasons restaurant, and so did my friends. Since we didn’t live in London at the time, we often dined in and would also pack half a duck to take home—the flavor was always excellent. This time I back to the UK, I made a special trip back to Four Seasons for a meal. Although I used to visit the one in Chinatown before, this time, since I was going to Hyde Park, I stopped by this branch. The restaurant's ambiance retains its old decor style—compact and a bit dated. The service hasn’t improved much either, staying pretty much the same as before. I suppose this is just their signature style. With some good restaurants, you have to put up with such things. However, what I couldn’t tolerate was that the food didn’t taste as good as before. Especially the roast duck, which I used to love—this time, it felt lacking in flavor, and the skin wasn’t as good. The char siu was also quite bland. Overall, it was very disappointing. It won’t be on my list anymore.
