We stopped by at Maison du Thé during the week as it looked fantastic from the outside. We decided to get an afternoon tea to share as well as two different teas. The teas were really good and the vibe of the place is also quite nice, going for the Parisian flair. The afternoon tea was a bit pricey at £35 and while it looked good, the taste was only okay. The cakes were quite flavourless, the scones were very hard and one of our scones was badly burnt and had to be replaced (black on the inside), the Macaron was very hard and not at all like a Macaron is supposed to taste. Additionally we didn't feel very welcomed by our server. He felt somewhat condescending especially when we had to return the scone. Please be aware that they have a bottle of water on the table that they serve you when sitting down. It's priced at £6. The automatically add a service charge (just FYI) Overall it's quite an Instagramable place but the food quality was way below our expectations.
