An absolute hidden gem in London, head to the ‘Green hut’ as its colloquially called and you’ll never be disappointed for lunch or a breakfast sandwich. One of the best freshly made sandwiches around.

First cabman shelter experience and what a bacon sandwich for so cheap! This is amazing value for money with a range of bread types and sandwich fillings. We had 4 very large bacon or sausage torpedos with a coffee for less than £25! Friendly service and nice customers including a couple of cabbies.

I bought a cup of tea for £1.50! Where else, in central London, can you get a cuppa brew for that price? I visited this cabmen shelter on m y quest to visit the remaining 13 in the capital. These grade II listed buildings have been around since 1875 - although they have been restored more recently.
