the problem with falafel wraps is that no one can beat the falafel man i used to go to who sold a wrap w fried aubergine for £3 back in 2019. however the chicken stew and fried cheese got good reviews!!

Turkish restaurant with a stand also in Spitalfields Market. Credit/debit card and e-wallet payments preferred - not sure about cash. I visited their stand in Spitalfields Market. Admittedly it was towards the end of the day, perhaps shortly before closing time. I had a combo box with the chicken stew. Portion was EXTREMELY generous, perhaps due in part to it being near closing time with some other potential customers eyeing the menu. Fried Halloumi cheese is very tasty. Small salad with onions and red cabbage was also good. Rice seemed a bit stale and the chicken stew itself, while still fairly tender, just seemed like it had been simmering for a long time. I opted for the chili sauce and this was nice and fiery. The overall effect wasn't bad, but it didn't taste terribly fresh either. The feta cheese pastry was interesting. Delicate phylo dough layers around a rather cream feta center. Not sweet, but not overly savory either. If you like feta you'll undoubtedly enjoy this but it's huge and best for sharing. Service was very friendly.
