I’ve visited Italian shops in New York and Paris before, but this was my first time in London. Being right next to Liverpool Street Station made it very convenient, and the place was bigger and more pleasant than I expected. The toilets were cleaner than anticipated, and what really surprised me was the huge selection of alcohol. There were several times more organic wines than what I’d seen in France, so from now on, I’ll come here when I want to buy wine – I’d definitely recommend it. One disappointment was that I wanted to buy truffles, but there were no whole truffles – only oils, salts, and other truffle-flavoured items, mostly cheap truffle additives. On the other hand, there was a huge range of pasta and ingredients, and the canvas bags looked sturdy and affordable. Just don’t buy on impulse, and enjoy your shopping!
