There are many food options, and the price is fair enough. The service was great and responsive. I had a lovely unexpected birthday there.

Dragon Castle is a glorious temple to all things delicious where your chopsticks might just get a workout worthy of an Olympic sport. The place looks grand enough that you half expect a jade emperor to stroll in, yet the atmosphere is so welcoming you can roll in with friends, order far too much, and nobody bats an eyelid. We had enough food to feed a small army: egg fried rice that was fluffy and fragrant, salt and pepper ribs that should come with a warning about addictive crunchiness, and stir-fried chicken with ginger and spring onion that made me want to write poetry. The mixed vegetable fried rice came with egg, which somehow made it feel both virtuous and indulgent. The wok-fried chicken noodles in gravy were so good I briefly considered proposing marriage, and the stir-fried beef in black bean sauce was pure umami happiness. Service is quick enough that you never have to sit there wondering if your noodles got lost in a parallel universe, and the portions are generous enough to ensure you leave in a happy food coma. If you’re anywhere near Walworth Road, go. Just make sure you wear your stretchy trousers.
