Chaiiwala is a cute place on the main drag (Brompton Road) down from Harrods. We like to eat outside and there are a couple of tables but the street noise is horrendous (motorcycles!). We got a booth inside and ordered the classic Bombay sandwich (pretty good) and the cheese and Masala beans toastie. Both a bit more fried than we like.

Sakshi served me and was genuinely so sweet and considerate. She noticed I hadn’t touched my food quite yet and asked if I wanted it to stay in the back to be warmed up until I was ready to eat it. I also saw her serving other customers just as considerately. The chai I had was delicious and the food was also great. I’ll for sure be returning to come and read and sit to solve my crossword every once in a little while.
