This is a really great spot. They have a really original and wholesome approach to food that's great for you while being filling and delicious. The coffee tastes noticeably better than other places without costing so much more. Pricewise it's not competitive, but at a post-inflation standard. It could be worse, but it's Islington, and at least you know its quality. Not where I can afford eating casually. They have strong WiFi, friendly staff, spacious seating, and not too obnoxious clientele. They've said they would do a loyalty scheme for ages now, but it hasn't come together yet. Everyone here comes to chat or talk, but the music feels like it's for dancing and shouting. It doesn't have the softer, less intrusive music you expect for a cafe, more like a club or bar most days. Their shuffle can put out some Fleetwood Mac, and I think one time we were allowed to listen to Tainted Love, but it's the exception not the rule. Someone there likes loud Reggaeton, so that's what you get unless it bugs and you accidentally get a minute or two of pure, merciful silence.

The best coffee shop in Islington, in my humble opinion. The soothing atmosphere complements their rich & tasty coffee. I love the service, they always go beyond their standards to make sure you’re satisfied (shoutout Mel!). Genuinely the best tasting coffee I’ve had, unlike other places Broccoli is consistent with the taste of their coffee. I recommend the cappuccino ;)
