Went here on a Monday for lunch with my wife - something we haven't done for a while without our child! Firstly, they were hugely understaffed. There was only one server looking after all the tables outside and inside, with no one on reception to welcome you! The poor server was working her socks off and still remained super friendly and polite. But ordering took a while. We got two courses each from the lunch set menu. The cod bites were excellent! Light batter and delicious cod. The minute steaks were good - mine was perhaps a little too chargrilled. Decent fries too. Quite mean with the amount of peppercorn sauce though! The sundae was a let down. It was like something you'd get on a children's menu. Lacked any class and was a mush. The rhubarb and pear mule was nice to start. But the so called rosemary paloma was a let down. No hint of rosemary in it and very sour! The Pinotage was great! Would've been a nicer experience had they had at least another server working that afternoon.
