Came here for dinner Thursday last week with 2 friends! Wasn’t too busy and we were seated indoors which had more of a vibrant atmosphere. Unfortunately we didn’t realise the menu was different to Brat on redchurch st- and the menu was quite limited with meat options which we were very much looking forward to! However we did end up ordering a 1.2kg Ribeye which was delicious! Our server was lovely and knowledgable! The reason I gave 3stars is because of an unfortunate incident that occurred with our wine! My friends and I are very particular about our wine and after chatting with our server we ended up choosing a bottle of Malbec (which is always reliable). Shortly after the in house sommelier or a lady more knowledgeable in wine came unannounced to our table and questioned our decision and steered us towards a wine she loved, said it was more interesting and spoke very highly about it - even name dropped celebrities who loved the bottle. We told her we prefer fuller bodied, smooth wines with hints of tobacco, oak and she still pushed for the bottle (which happened to be double the price). When she brought the wine out to allow us to taste it was CHILLED it was LIGHT-MEDIUM ruby in colour and tasted AWFUL! She could tell we weren’t impressed because she ran off and never appeared again! She ruined our steak dinner experience and I’m still in disbelief she gave us her unsolicited recommended of a wine completely opposite to our preferences! Lesson learned always Vivino before committing to a bottle!!!!

We went on a Saturday night as a group of 4. The venue is really cool and the open kitchen is fab. The food was delicious but potentially a little overpriced. The service left much to be desired! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with ‘take a photo of the menu’ and no clue as to when our table would be ready or even that they had our reservation! Our waitress was friendly and helpful but as soon as she had taken our order it was like she’d forgotten about us. Even when we got up asked for and paid for the bill, the plates from our main course were left on the table. The starters (described as sharing plates) also came out one by one about 15 minutes after each other which felt a bit odd and meant the meal took a very long time to finish. Overall, delicious, well-cooked and flavoursome food but nothing that special and can definitely be found somewhere with more attentive service and more reasonable prices!

Disappointing experience at Brat Climpson Arch. As a big fan of Brat Shoreditch, I had high hopes, but the mains were underwhelming and the service was frustrating. We asked twice about our sides, which arrived after we’d finished eating — even tables seated after us were served theirs first. Great setting, but the execution didn’t match the reputation
