Finally booked a table at Bambi after eyeing their menu up from Cardiff, Wales, for months. We started with the ricotta and goats curd and bread and I’ll probably think of it most nights before I fall asleep from now on. You know when you start a dining experience with a small plate that good you’re in for a ride. The next dishes were beyond incredible. The mushroom risotto was possibly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I’m writing this review on my national express journey home and I could cry thinking about how far I’ll be from it. I ride hard for tender stem broccoli anyway but I’ve never had such a scrumptious little tree in my life. I don’t know what you guys did to it but kudos to whenever came up with that. We were also wonderfully taken care of by a 10/10 waitress called Orell (I’m sorry if I spelled that wrong, I asked after a few margaritas which were also great). She walked us through the menu and made really fitting recommendations, like ordering two deserts. Genius. We had the chocolate mouse with caramel and orange granola, which made myself and my partner go non verbal. She also boxed up a basque cheesecake to take back to our hotel which is the most remarkable desert I’ve ever eaten. She deserves a bonus and a forehead kiss. Overall a great experience and I hope between now and whenever I return, the menu doesn’t change. Thank you!
