I popped into Aubaine on a weekend afternoon when I desperately needed to kill a couple of hours before meeting some friends. I had my laptop with me, which made finding a spot a bit tricky, especially inside Selfridges. After walking around a bit aimlessly, I finally found Aubaine. At first they said they couldn’t accommodate me, but after I explained my situation, they were super kind and led me to a quiet table tucked away at the very back. It ended up being the perfect little setup. The decor is absolutely stunning with flowers everywhere, definitely one of the prettier spots you’ll find inside a department store. I ordered the Passionfruit & Strawberry Mojito (£13), which was on the sweeter side but still really tasty and refreshing, especially for a sunny weekend afternoon. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I appreciated the staff’s flexibility. That said, I do agree with some of the other reviews mentioning the prices. It’s definitely on the pricey side for what you get, but for a beautiful setting and a bit of peace in the middle of Oxford Street chaos, it worked for me.
