I had afternoon tea on Friday, July 25. I, like maybe every 3rd person in the city at the end of July, traveled to London for Oasis at Wembley. For months I researched spots for afternoon tea. I wanted nice, but not uncomfortably posh. I booked and canceled so many reservations before randomly seeing a review for The Beaumont Mayfair. This tea was absolutely everything I was imagining and more. From the porter who was very welcoming and a bit funny, to the hostess, servers and everyone I encountered- they made us feel welcome and not at all out of place. The tea experience was throughly explained after they asked if it was our first time at tea. The Jing teas we chose were some of my favorite teas I've ever tasted. The scones were amazing. The vegetarian sandwich selection (especially the carrot and the oyster) were unique and delicious.The venue itself is lovely and art deco in the best of ways. I can't thank the staff there enough for making our first afternoon tea experience such a lovely memory we'll cherish forever and I hope we can experience it again in the not too distant future.
