Today, we had lunch at the 34 Mayfair in London. The food was not that great but not bad either. However, the portion sizes were very, very small. The octopus was minuscule. Avoiding gluten was impossible no matter how carefully one orders. The matcha-based non-alcoholic drink was quite disappointing – it was overpowered with lemon and didn’t taste like it had any matcha. Additionally, the salad looked limp and the leaves didn’t seem very fresh. Also, all bread was sweet. Riffle with chicken tasted good but the coating on the chicken didn’t stick well and the croffle was too sweet to be in that dish. The sole was good. Overall, it was just an okay meal, not really a great experience.

I've always regarded this restaurant quite highly but something seems to have fallen short recently with the service, it was not terrible it just lacked attention to detail and staff had to be reminded to update us on items we ordered. Still worth visiting though.
