Update: I've left the review below as is. But given the kind response of the owner and suggestion on how to best bring forward if one encountere issues at Arch Deli I'm happily updating the review to 5 stars. Great to see that I just caught an employee on an off day and how invested the owner is into their business. Original% I should preface this by acknowledging we've had a lovely time the couple of times we'd been here before. So not sure whether the member of staff I was dealing with had a bad day / Line managers don't know what's going on when they're not in or why they're overcharging customers. I ordered a burrata with blood orange & walnuts and a glass of wine. I was surprised why the bill was higher than the menu had indicated and asked about it while paying. First, the waitress said this was due to service charge. Still confused, I followed up that this would be a service charge of 26%. Exasperated she offered to print the bill. Looking at the bill I thought I'd found the solution - she billed me for the wrong item, which explained the difference. The burrata with blood orange is £9 while she charged me for a burrata salad for £11. She got pretty annoyed at this point and insisted she billed me for the right burrata dish. When I asked why the menu on the counter and pasted on the shop door listed a different price, she said her line manager hadn't updated the menus. At this point I gave up. 5 days later the menu is still the same with the old prices. Based on the experience I won't return, the difference isn't much but it felt dodgy and the woman was so dismissive. There are other places around to have a sundowner and a snack you enjoy at the prices advertised and with kinder treatment of customers. The dish and the wine were lovely though, shame.

Very glad to have stumbled upon this hidden gem, brilliant service by Jasper and Fazah made me feel at home away from home. The relaxed atmosphere and great selection of delicacies and beverages really rounds off the evening in the most spectacular way. Thanks to Jasper and Fazah I always feel like a great place to chill eat and drink is just a (Leyton)stones throw away from Home. Would recommend to anyone who isn’t allergic to a great time.

A real anchor of the neighborhood in Leyton. Great spot to pop in for a glass or two of wine and a bite to eat or two swing by and grab a bottle to bring home and drink in the back garden. Team are always friendly and knowledgable. Love the rotating food popups they host, too!
