Been coming to this place for years and it stands out among all the other great pubs and eateries in the area by providing a service that is both laid back and welcoming and exceeds usual standards. Drinks are well crafted and delicious, staff are friendly and attentive but never overbearing - you can tell they really take care of their community and welcome regulars and passers by with the same vibrant energy. Had a fantastic dinner tonight - cod cheeks to star and delicious fish and chips for my main, and my friend had the seafood linguine. All the fish was super fresh and tasty and we were told by our gorgeous that it’s all local sourced form the fishmonger next door. If you’re looking for a chilled afternoon drink, a date spot or a meal for all the fam on Essex Road, The Alpaca can’t be beaten. Cheers xxx

Alpacas is an excellent pub! The drinks were good and the atmosphere is nice with plenty of natural light. It also has a good noise level with plenty of room for guests. The food was delicious (on the nicer side for pub food but reasonably priced) and the menu was quite varied with some interesting items! I had a great time and could definitely see myself and friends going back!
